Sue
opened Vogue Salon& Day Spa in November 2001 after a long
history in the industry. She graduated from New Bedford Beauty
Academy in 1988 with her Manicuring license then in 1989 with
her Cosmetology license. She has had her class 1 license for
some time now. Her other licenses from the state of Massachusetts
are her Shop license and her Instructors licence. She also
has a Manicuring License from Pennsylvania.
She
opened her first salon in 1989 when she graduated from hairdressing
school and had "Image Gallery" until December 1996
when she took a position with a nail manufacturing co. N.S.I.
(Nail Systems International) in Pennsylvania as a National
Education Director. Her job there was national as well as
some International assignments such as: writing educational
manuals for the U.K., Japan, Australia, Canada, Puerto Rico
& New Zealand. She was also very involved in the research
and development of new products for N.S.I.
Sue has done just about everything in the industry including
writing articles for nail industry magazines, interviews for
several industry magazines, nail competitions and a beauty
judge.
When
she left Pennsylvania to come back home, she worked for O
P I Corporation as an Account Executive covering all of New
England teaching other salons and technicians the salon business.
Besides
doing services for hairstyling and nails, Sue also carries
various certificates for Advanced Facials, Advanced Certified
Coloring Analysis, Reflexology Aromatherapy & Advanced
Nail Technology.
Sue
currently runs her Salon & Day Spa and is an instructor
at Rob Roy Beauty Academy in New Bedford.
